| Has anyone tried to read these ten pound books with half way decent stories but atrocious dialogue. I tried to read one of the marketing devices called a book a couple years ago and found myself longing for the more creative and stimulating owners manual for my CAT enginge but maybe its just me. I understand the series appeals to lonely, picked on islated children who feel different and left out but for Christ's sake thats all kids age eight to fourteen. Col David Hackworth, author of "About Face" and dedicated enemy of the beauracrats in the pentagon, has passed away. Rest in peace Colonel, and lets hope someone as outspoken and dedicated as you steps up to the plate to become the advocate of the grunts in the mud that you were. The biggest news stroy of the day after thanksgiving was the now age old tradition of Americans piling into their heavily financed oversized SUV's and motoring out to the local shopping bazaar to participate in an orgy of debt enhancement that is at the heart of the long slide of the decline of what used to be America. | Added some news feeds to the front page. If you have any XML or RSS enabled web sites that you would like to have added to this site, post them here and I will add them. I am still not sure wether I want to have the feeds on the front page, as it seems to clutter it up a bit to me, and I am not sure that the 2 column layout of the feed is really useful.

| New look OK, so I am trying something a little bit different then before. Instead of hand coding web pages, I have now changed to a "portal" format. This will be a work in progress, as all web pages are. The web galleries will also be changing, as I try out different software. Opensource is a wonderful thing!
